Set up your own blog in one morning with step by step instruction from Ann Donnelly, our Managing Director and expert Online Marketing Consultant. Once set up, Ann will work with you on your plan to get best results with your blog. You will also be able to discuss ideas with and get feedback from the other workshop participants.

Workshop Outline

• Preparation before setting up your blog:
  • Do you need your own domain? (To be discussed in pre-workshop telephone discussion. Domain and hosting can be set up prior to workshop for additional fee.)
  • What blog application is best for you? (Blogger, WordPress or another?)

• Setting up your blog:
  • Downloading and installation of application (Including any other applications needed)
  • Exploring the settings for your blog

• Customising your blog:
  • Changing the appearance of your blog with Themes
  • Using Plugins (calendars, images, etc.)

• Adding Content to your blog:
  • Identifying your goals, your style and topic ideas
  • Managing your time
  • Moderating comments

• Promoting your blog -- getting people to read it:
  • Search Engine Optimization
  • RSS feeds & subscribers
  • Widgets
  • Web Directories & Online Networks for bloggers

- .com/.net domain 9.50 per year or .ie domain 19.50 euro per year
